I love Jackson’s ability to write deep, tough characters despite light and romantic circumstances. Not only are her heroes handsome and sexy but they’re flawed and damaged in ways they don’t believe they deserve redemption. Jace is no different, and his current story, along with his and Faith’s past story written side-by-side, makes for some dramatic tension. Faith is one tough mama and i loved her resolve throughout the entire story. Her stubborn (good stubborn) ways alongside her daughters innocence and sweetness matched perfectly with Jace’s defeatist attitude toward himself. Mix their tumbling romance with reconciling their past and a threat you will NOT see coming (no spoilers here!) and you’ve got another amazing romance read!
