BAD FOR YOU – A J. Daniels Review

I’m broken but I’m somehow whole. J. Daniels has delivered her greatest work EVER! We had crazy drama around Trouble & Wild and hilarious wit and sass with Legs & Loser; but with Shay & Stitch…..be prepared to have your heart MANGLED in the BEST POSSIBLE WAY. Not only does Daniels’ manage to tell the story of a broken and defeated man, she does it while painting him in the brightest light possible. Sean “Stitch” Molina has had the roughest past a child should ever endure. And where he believes that’s only shed him into the darkest of shadows, in reality he is so much more than the bottom he’s hit. And it will take one stubborn woman to pull him from the darkness and in to her light.

Previously we saw a strange connection between Stitch and the pixie waitress, Shay. She wold talk the quiet and mysterious cook’s ear off and he would listen….when no one else seemed to break through the haze. He shuts her down at one point because he continually believes he’s not good enough for her. But in a moment of weakness, when Stitch can’t stand to see Shay upset, he caves and reaches out to help her; showing that there can be no shadow without a little light. And as Shay spends more time with Stitch she sees the beauty that is this man and his big heart. With determination and beautiful love, she shows him how he is the BEST kind of man.

I stayed up all night, sacrificing sleep, to finally read this story and I was not one bit disappointed. I cried so many times but with so many happy tears. While Stitch may be a brooding and dark man, he is honestly so damn sweet and lovely that, like the girls in chapter 13, I just want to hug him and show him the love he deserves. Every tense moment when you fear the Stitch may retreat, closes with such elation that cannot be contained. This book will wrap you up in happiness and never let you go!

He didn’t want to be bad. He just didn’t have a choice…

Shayla Perkins isn’t the kind of girl who makes the same mistake twice, especially when it comes to Sean “Stitch” Molina. So when he gives her the world’s biggest rejection, that’s it–she’s done. Until the sexy, silent, unavailable Sean makes Shay a very personal offer. Of course, it still doesn’t mean he’s interested in her. Or does it?

Sean has done things in life. Bad things. And he’s paid the price. All he wants now is to make up for his past by doing good in the present. And no one deserves more good than Shay. Beautiful on the inside and out, Shay is the kind of woman who should be cared for and protected–especially from a man like Sean. He’s tried to keep his feelings for her in check, but a single, reckless impulse pulls them closer than ever before.

Soon the two are sharing their biggest dreams and satisfying their deepest desires. But what will happen if the only way to truly give each other what they want most…is to let each other go?

“The perfect mix of funny, hot and heartwarming. I enjoyed it immensely!” –Mia Sheridan, New York Times bestselling author, on Four Letter Word
