REPEAT – A Kylie Scott Review & Excerpt Reveal

Kylie Fricking Scott. Way to blow readers away with a fantastic new twist to second chance romance. Clementine, a victim of a brutal attack, has been left with no memory. For the first time, readers have to discover who the heroine is alongside her as she deals with friends, family, and the life she had. A clue to her past leads her to a tattoo shop and its rude and gruff owner (none too pleased to see her) happens to be her ex. But there’s a mystery as to why they broke up. She can’t remember and he’s too pained to reveal it to her right away. Now Clem has to earn the trust of the man who’s heart she seemingly broke…but it turns out she didn’t trust him at all their first time around and that’s what ended them. Navigating your past is difficult when you’re attracted to the one man who can help you piece it all together.

I loved Ed. He’s rude, rash, and generally does NOT take back to Clementine right away. No, like the readers, she gets small glimpses of the man behind the anger, behind the broken heart. We fall in love with him with Clem and I think that creates a special bond with a heroine that I haven’t felt before. Scott also adds in an extra element when more attacks seem to be happening to Clem. Was her head injury a random act of violence or is there someone truly after her? Figuring out her steps that day and in the days leading up to it are key in figuring out the truth.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, there is something  undeniably real to Scott’s stories. They’re not tied up in pretty little bows. They’re raw and all her characters are flawed and easy to relate to on some level. This romance becomes MORE than a romance. It’s a story about finding your own path, creating you own future, and trusting you gut to guide you. Between the kisses and the danger, it’s a second chance romance not only for Clem and Ed, but for Clementine and her own self. Truly wonderful story and I can’t wait to see what Kylie Scott does next because she’s shocking me at every turn!

“A page-turning romantic feast that will have you desperate for more. I was immediately hooked.” —#1 New York Times bestselling author Rachel Van Dyken

“Amnesia,” he mutters for about the hundredth time. Usually, ‘fuck’, ‘shit’, or some blasphemy follows that statement. This time, however, there’s nothing. Maybe he’s finally getting used to the idea.

I sit on the opposite side of the booth, inspecting the cocktail menu. It’s as gross and sticky as the table.

“Can I get you guys something else?” asks the waiter with a practiced smile.

“I’ll have a piña colada.”

“You hate coconut,” Ed Larsen informs me, slumped back in his seat.

“Oh.”

“Try a margarita.”

“What he said,” I tell the waiter, who presumably thinks we have some kinky dom-sub thing going on.

Ed orders another lite beer, watching me the entire time. I don’t know if his blatant examination is better or worse than my sister’s furtive looks. He’d suggested going back to his place to talk. I declined. I don’t know the guy, and it didn’t feel safe. So instead we came here. The bar is dark and mostly empty, given it’s the middle of the afternoon, but at least it’s public.

“How old are you?” I ask.

In response, he pulls his wallet out of his back pocket and passes me his driver’s license.

“Thank you.” Information is good. More definites. “You’re seven years older than me.”

“Yeah.”

“How serious were we? Did we stay together for long?”

He licks his lips, turns away. “Don’t you have someone else you can ask about all this? Your sister?”

I just look at him.

He frowns, but then sighs. “We saw each other for about half a year before moving in together. That lasted eight months.”

“Pretty serious.”

“If you say so.” His face isn’t happy. But I need to know.

“Did I cheat on you?”

Now the frown comes with a glare.

Despite his don’t-fuck-with-me vibes, it’s hard not to smile. The man is blessed in the DNA department. He’s so pretty. Masculine pretty. I’m not used to being attracted to people, and he’s giving me a heart-beating-harder, tingles-in-the-pants kind of sensation, which is a lot new and a little overwhelming. Makes me want to giggle and flip my hair at him like some vapid idiot.

But I don’t. “It’s just that I’m getting some distinct vibes that somehow I’m the bad guy in all this.”

“No, you didn’t cheat on me,” he growls. “And I didn’t cheat on you either, no matter what you might have thought.”

My brows jump. “Huh. So that’s why we broke up?”

“This is fucked. Actually, it was fucked the first time.” He turns away and finishes the last of his beer. “Jesus.”

I just keep quiet, waiting.

“You have no memories, no feelings about me whatsoever?”

“No, nothing.”

A muscle jumps in his jaw, his hands sitting fisted on the table.

“It’s called traumatic retrograde amnesia,” I say, trying to explain. “What they call my ‘episodic memory’ is gone—all my memories of events and people and history. Personal facts. But I can still make a cup of coffee, read a book, or drive a car. Stuff like that. Things that were done repetitively, you know? Not that I’m allowed to drive at the moment. My car’s sitting outside my sister’s house gathering dust. They said to give it some time before I got behind the wheel again, make sure I’m okay. Also, apparently the part of my brain in charge of inhibitions and social restrictors, et cetera, is a bit messed up, so I don’t always react right, or at least not necessarily how you’d expect me to behave based on previous me.”

“Previous you?”

I shrug. “It’s as good a label for her as any.”

“She’s you. You’re her.”

“Maybe. But she’s still a complete stranger to me.”

“Christ,” he mutters.

This is awkward. “I’m upsetting you. I’m sorry. But there are things I need to know, and I’m hoping you can help me out with some of them.”

PLAYING BY HEART – A JB Salsbury Review

1125181

Wow..Just WOW! Trying to think of a way to explain this romance isn’t easy. First of all, JB Salsbury is in her own genre when it comes to romance. They’re dark in a different way, with non-traditional heroes who are tough to love at first. And that can definitely be said with Jesse. Jesse is an ASSHOLE at the beginning of Playing by Heart. I hated him at first, but in the best way. Reading his level of dirty, you just KNOW there’s going to be an epic redemption of his soul. A womanizer to the extreme is his least offensive description. He’s an alcoholic and a drug addict. He shows no concern for anyone, not even himself; and has a tendency to self-destruct at the most inopportune times. Now his only option to salvage the wreck of his life he’s made is to spend time with his religious and estranged brother.

There’s a brief snippet at the beginning in to Beth’s chaos but by the time her and Jesse’s paths cross, she’s focused and on a path to find happiness. They are complete and polar opposites; Jesse is mid-withdrawal and Beth is in a place of solitude and commitment. Beth seems demure and peaceful when Jesse is a storm of self-hate and bad habits. Somehow…SOME HOW…Salsbury has the ability to win readers to Jesse’s side. He may be self-destructive but as you read into his past and where it all comes from, you can see its from a place of loss. Not of a loved one or a dream, but Jesse has lost his creativity. Jesse Lee used to write amazing rock god anthems and stardom sucked him down it’s dark hole. Beth becomes a beacon of hope in his darkest moments to pull him out.

The more time he spends with her, whether its teasing and riling her up or seeing her side of life and finding happiness, she slowly eases her way in to his heart. Slowly, Jesse finds his way back to the heart and soul of his music. Songs begin to pour out of him and the rock star side of Jesse becomes more appealing again without the temptation of the dark side of fame. But that’s when Beth begins to fear how her heart feels for him. She’s been focused for so long on winning back her ex and Jesse threatens that happy dream shes’s always had. But even more, Beth decides that her future is hers and no one else’s. Cocooning herself away from Jesse, she misses his heartfelt revelation of love to her. But now that Jesse’s won the fight against himself, he’s ready to fight for HER. This love story is all a tale of what a person can handle when it comes to self-love before loving anyone else and Salsbury does it ABSOLUTE justice.

PlayingByHeartFinal copy.jpg

Jesse Lee is the worst!

He’s a multi-millionaire, triple-platinum-selling, Grammy-Award-winning man-slut—a worldly, self-indulgent heathen. I wouldn’t sleep with him if he were our last chance to ensure survival of the human race. The only reason I put up with him is because he’s my boss’s brother.

Whatsherface is one of those holier-than-thou types.

She’s bossy, has a horrific singing voice, and she’s so ordinary, she practically blends in with the eggshell-colored walls—the complete opposite of anyone I’d bang. The only reason I put up with her is because my career is on the line.

JBSalsbury_57C.jpg

Before I started writing all I did was read. There wasn’t a contemporary romance out there that I wouldn’t pick up. One day I realized a lot of stories I was reading seemed to follow the same formula. I got frustrated with predictable outcomes and unimaginative story lines and decided that rather than scour the Internet for the kind of story I wanted to read, I’d just write it.

When I published my first book I didn’t intend to write more than the one. If I could sell six books  to six people I didn’t know I considered myself a success. But that first book sold well over six copies and I knew I couldn’t stop there.

I was bitten by the writing bug and have poured my soul into every novel I’ve penned since. Some of my books have become USA Today Bestsellers, New York Times Bestsellers, and Fighting to Forgive won a RONE Award. I couldn’t be more proud of where my writing has taken me.

I live in Phoenix with my husband and two daughters where I’m lucky to be able to do something I love and still be home to juggle carpool, field trips, and fifth-grade homework.

When I’m not writing, reading, or spending time with my family I can be found on any of the local mountain trails hiking, or at the gym when the desert temps become unbearable. I love being outside, beach vacations, and spending time with friends.

CONTROL – A K. Bromberg Review & Excerpt Reveal

1118181

I love the 1001 Dark Nights series because it’s more than just a sneak peek into an author’s series, it’s a splash into that author’s voice and style. K Bromberg is stellar at writing drama mixed with sex and romance. Control is a stunning look into her Everyday Heroes series and shows how two lost people can find happiness with each other.

After a home invasion, Desi’s attitude changed from life of the party to homebody. Every sound and shadow makes her jump but she’s determined to brush it all aside and move on with her life. A self defense class is just what she needs; but it turns out her hot new neighbor is her instructor and he’s set his sights on her. Reznor is built and mysterious but he keeps showing up just when she needs help. The more time she spends around him the more he shows what lies beneath the gruff exterior. And one night of weakness starts a romance she wasn’t prepared to handle.

Reznor is dedicated to his SWAT team but a bad call has left him with regrets he’s not sure he can come to terms with. Some time off in his buddy’s hometown should give him perspective. The unplanned brightness to his time away, his neighbor Desi. She’s spunky and sexy as hell but there’s a shadow in her eyes that he can’t help but want to protect her from. The two of them have undeniable chemistry and after a few nights together, Reznor finds himself opening up to Desi like he never has before and when all he’s known is quick flings, Desi’s got staying power. He just has to help her out of her head  and back to reality when it comes to protecting herself.

A stubborn hero meets a hard-headed heroine and sparks fly as tensions turn to romance. Will Desi’s stalker be caught? Will Reznor be able to help her stay safe? This afternoon read is filled with emotion and drama that will suck you in and never leg you go. Mix in some mysterious action with this romance and it’s a WIN.

“K. Bromberg always delivers intelligently written, emotionally intense, sensual romance . . .”

USA Today

Excerpt CKBRER.png

“I’ll tell you what, Desi Whitman. I think you’re a chicken. I think you hide behind your preconceived notions out of principle—or at least that’s what you label it, but fear is fear. You can put lipstick on a pig, but it’s still a pig.” My hands still and my eyes meet his in the reflection of the window in front of me. “The question is, how bad do you want it? How bad do you want to see where this might go between us? A few nights of sex? A few dates? Anything. Something. When will you push yourself to think that it’s okay?”

“I already told you, I know who I am, and I know what I want out of life.”

“You did…but that’s before you met someone who changed that.”

I spin around and glare at him. He’s thinking too much into this. “Down, boy. It’s sex. One time. That’s it.”

“Two times,” he counters and lifts his eyebrows.

“Two?”

“Sweetheart, we may not have been touching, but you can’t deny we f*cked each other across this space.” He points to his house and back, but his eyes never leave mine. “You can call it semantics. You can say it didn’t happen, but I’ll fight you on that. Watching you was hotter than hell. You came for me. And next time you do, I’ll be buried in you.”

His words evoke too many things I don’t want to think about but can’t seem to avoid thinking of late.

“That’s presumptuous,” I say simply, because I have nothing else to say.

His chuckle is back and so is that look in his eye that’s part challenge, part predator. “You’re only pushing me away because you know it’s good—we’re good—and you’re afraid you’re only going to like it more.”

“Why are you here, Reznor?” I shove my hands on my hips so I don’t reach out and touch him.

I can see him question which answer he should give. The one we both know—that he wants to sleep with me again—or the underlying reason. “You didn’t show up to class again.”

“And I called Bear ahead of time and let him know that something came up. That way you knew, he knew—”

“Why not walk across the yard and tell me?”

“Because I was…” avoiding you. Wanting you. Needing to keep my distance from you.

His smile is half-cocked. “That’s what I thought.” He takes a step toward me. “You want me as much as I want you…”

“I don’t—”

He holds his finger against my lips and says, “Shhh.” Our eyes hold as every part of my body vibrates from his touch. “I’m not a patient man, Desi…except when it comes to things I think are worth it.”

“Reznor—”

“Tell Jeff you’re off the market.” My spine stiffens at his order. “Because you’re worth it.”

And then, of course, the aftereffects of Reznor Mayne hit me—the flutter, the swoon, and the sag—as a smile slides across his lips and he dips his chin before walking out the back door without looking back.

The man is infuriating.

About K Bromberg:

New York Times bestselling author K. Bromberg writes contemporary novels that contain a mixture of sweet, emotional, a whole lot of sexy, and a little bit of real. She likes to write strong heroines, and damaged heroes who we love to hate and hate to love.

She’s a mixture of most of her female characters: sassy, intelligent, stubborn, reserved, outgoing, driven, emotional, strong, and wears her heart on her sleeve. All of which she displays daily with her husband and three children where they live in Southern California.

On a whim, K. Bromberg decided to try her hand at this writing thing. Since then she has written The Driven Series (Driven, Fueled, Crashed, Raced, Aced), the standalone Driven Novels (Slow Burn, Sweet Ache, Hard Beat, and Down Shift), and a novella (UnRaveled).

FIREWORKS – A Sarina Bowen Review

1112181

I really, really need to continue reading this series. I started in the middle and it’s only gotten better with each read. Beloved Benito finally gets his story and its a second chance romance filled with missed connections and heartbreak. After a crazy mishap on air, Skye is headed back to her hometown; somewhere she never wanted to end up again. But after the life shes had, her stepsister and her insane flighty lifestyle is the best relationship Skye has. So when she calls for help when Skye’s on vacation, she comes running. And coincidentally she runs into the one man that broke her heart, Benito.

Now her sister’s antics have got her caught up in Benito’s investigation. The boy she loved has grown in to one hot detective. And it seems that now that Skye is back, Benito is determined to right the wrongs of their past. Benito cant believe his eyes when Skye walks in to his brothers bar. The one that got away, the one he never thought he’d see again is back in his life and he’s not letting her go again. One misunderstanding broke them up. Skye thinks he left her for another girl while Benito never truly understood why Skye left town with no word. Now these two have to team up and stop a man from their past from running drugs in to their hometown while confronting theirs past and their possible future.

Bowen takes tragedy and paints it in such a good light. Skye has trauma from her mother’s inconsistent love life causing her temporary stepfather to leer and threaten her innocence. Benito, young and dreamy at 18, swoops in to safe her at every moment and steals her heart. The one night they’re supposed to finally take it to the next level, he never shows and Skye’s tormentor uses it to his advantage and puts Skye down. Now as an adult, Skye struggles to form relationships with men and truly believes she’s broken when it comes to sex. Benito takes such care in pulling back the new layers to Skye and making her feel loved and safe again. She finally feels FIREWORKS when she’s with Benito.

All while chasing her sister and her previous stepfather. There’s a fantastic mix of action within this second chance romance. Skye comes face to face with her past, her sister’s involvement, and a crazy drug scheme in little Vermont. I just loved this non-stop read. Filled with fun, sexy moments and heartbreaking young love that almost didn’t survive. Another 5 star read from Sarina!

Skye Copeland is on paid leave from her broadcasting job after accidentally drawing a wiener on the traffic map.

Let that sink in. Like it’s her fault the traffic pattern created a perfect schlong?

Skye isn’t laughing. She needs this job. And that’s the only reason she’s willing to chase down a story in her least favorite place—that hell on earth known as Vermont.

A quick trip. In and out. Much like – never mind. She can sneak into the town that once tried to break her, get the story and slide back into the good graces of her producer. Easy peasy.

But things go sideways the moment she steps over the county line. Her stepsister is running from a violent drug dealer. And the cop on the case is none other than Benito Rossi, the man who broke Skye’s teenage heart.

His dark brown eyes still tear her apart. And even as she steels herself to finally tell him off after twelve years, the old fireworks are still there.

Things are about to go boom.

SHADOW AND ICE – A Gena Showalter Review & Excerpt Reveal

1021181

It’s a royal rumble and the gods have come to play an all out war. Other realms, unknown to mankind, have been fighting for centuries in the All War. A Hunger Games meets Game of Thrones battle that pits the best of the best warriors from each realm against one another for total control of the new world. Reigning four time champion, Knox, is out for blood once more. He’s more than determined to win the world for his tyrannical king; he’s out to win for his freedom one and for all. Ready to battle it all against the fiercest competitors, Knox is prepared for every eventuality. Except for one human female.

Vale is just trying to survive the wintery cold of her current lost state, along with her sister, when fate decides the throw them a bone; more like a cavern out of the elements actually. But its not the cave that saves her, its the contents inside that alter her reality. Encased in ice are warriors from ages past and one in particular, dark and sensual catches her eye. When suddenly the ice breaks and the cavern erupts into a battle for the ages with Vale and her sister caught in the crossfire. Swept away by the dark hero (or villain?), Knox, Vale learns of past wars, other realms, and a fantasy that no one could dream of happening right in front of her. When fate deals a final blow and enters Vale into the war as a contestant and therefor granting her immortality. NOW Vale has to battle the world, Knox, and her destiny written in stone.

As Knox and Vale battle each other and other combatants, they each struggle with an internal battle as well. Fighting attraction and trust issues is no easy feat when your own instincts, and now powers, pull you in every direction. Vale has to battle past memories, a now side effect of her powers mixed with her synesthesia. All while trying to convince Knox to fight by her side as an ally rather than as her captor. A reverse Stockholm Syndrome occurs when Knox’s own internal and immortal instincts tell him the Vale is necessary to his survival, he just doesn’t know how or why. An ally is always a weakness and Knox has never possessed a weakness…since the death of his beloved daughter. But as Vale chips away at his defenses (internally and physically), Knox discovers a new side of himself, that’s stronger than anything he’s ever faced.

Love. This story is about love. And sex and violence and power and control but beyond all that LOVE conquering all. A message conveyed in every caress from Vale. In every sacrifice from Knox. In the lengths Vale and her sister will go to find one another again amidst battle. Not to mention those willing to die in this battle to protect the ones they love not even on the planet. Filled with explicit and entertaining fights scenes to rival and blockbuster, this story will have on the edge of your city dying to know how Vale and Knox can overcome every obstacle that threatens to tear them and the world apart. An amazing 5 star read from the genius fantasy mind of Showalter and I’m dying to hear just what comes next from the Gods of War.

Check out the sneak peek below and pre-order your copy of SHADOW AND ICE today!

Gena Showalter, the New York Times bestselling author who brought you the Lords of the Underworld, introduces a scorching new paranormal romance series… Gods of War.

Knox of Iviland has spent his life competing in the All Wars, where vicious warriors with supernatural powers fight to the death to claim new realms. One winner takes everything—and all losers die. Enslaved as a child for his ability to control shadows, the most ruthless champion in history will stop at nothing to kill his king. But first he must win the battle for Earth. When a fearsome weapon imprisons every combatant in ice, centuries pass without progress…until she walks in.

Vale London craves a fun arctic getaway with her foster sister before settling down to open a bakery. Street-tough but vulnerable, she is unprepared to find ancient gods escaping a frozen cave—merciless beings who target her when she inadvertently enters their war.

Though Vale is now his enemy, Knox is consumed with lust and a fierce need to protect her. But only one combatant can prove victorious, and he will have to choose: live for freedom, or die for love.

“I love this world…this is Gena Showalter at her best!”—J.R. Ward, #1 New York Times bestselling author

Excerpt SAIGSER

Present Day Somewhere in the Arctic Circle

“Heads are going to roll.”

Sore, tired and chilled to the bone, Vale London dropped a ten thousand pound backpack, leaned against a wall of ice and scanned her surroundings—a sea of snow broken up by mountains and seracs that made her fancy that ocean waves had flash-froze just before they’d come crashing down.

Frigid wind howled, the sound of it somehow more glacial than the below zero temp, screams of pain and helplessness seeming to echo within.

“Are we talking literally or figuratively?” Her beloved foster sister Magnolia “Nola” Lee dropped her pack as well, sat atop it and drew a thick flannel blanket around her shoulders. “With you I never know.”

Vale savored the flavor of sweetened brown butter that coated her tongue. At some point in her childhood development, wires had gotten crossed in her brain, leaving her with a severe case of synesthesia. She heard sounds, just like everyone else, but she tasted them, too. Letters also registered as colors, and numbers appeared as a three-dimensional map inside her head.

The more nuanced the sound, the richer the flavor.

“Figuratively…maybe,” she replied. “The next time I see our absentee guide, he’ll be lucky to walk away. Or even crawl.” She wasn’t known as a street-tough scrapper for nothing! And the POS had ruined what was supposed to be the vacation of a lifetime, so he had to pay.

Dang it, Nola hadn’t needed this kind of stress, or danger. She’d needed a break. The girl worked two full time jobs. If she wasn’t baking and selling the goods at local office buildings, she was writing How To copy for her dating column in Oklahoma Love Match magazine. And Vale… Vale had needed a break from everything. Had hoped to enjoy one last hoorah—or maybe a first hoorah—before she and Nola settled down and opened a fancy-schmancy gourmet donut shop slash catering center slash speed dating and bachelorette party hub, with Vale on paperwork duty and Nola behind the oven and the counter.

Vale’s biggest mistake? Booking each extracurricular activity with the cheapest company possible, in order to do more stuff on a limited budget. Quality beat quantity; she understood that now. So how about a break, world?

CONSUMED – A J.R. Ward Review

img_2086-1

Something has to be said for the power in Ward’s books. A new branch back into the contemporary world, Consumed is not only intrigued and a standout novel, readers won’t be able to predict what will happen and become addicted to finding out the truth. I highly recommend reading the two free novellas before diving in the world of Anne and Danny. They give a sneak peek into all our characters before a moment that changes all of their lives.

Anne is the solo female in her fire squad and has always felt she’s had an axe to grind (sorry for the pun there…). Determination and pure snark have gotten her this far and it’ll take more than smart-talking, playboy Danny to sweep her off her feet. But there’s a connection between the two of them when they’re int he field. They think in unison and anticipate each others needs and movements like no one she’s ever seen. His charm may not be his dazzling smile and sexy body, it just may be his dedication to being the best firefighter the city’s ever seen. But a split decision from Anne leaves the world they know in dust as he shatters their fragile relationship with one swing of his axe.

Now, Anne isn’t your typical fire inspector; haunted with the memories of her days of a firefighter, she’s in a constant mental and physical struggle to regain her confidence. Putting those memories behind her she dives into the mysterious warehouse fires and discovers a plot that goes deeper than anyone could ever imagine. Not to mention, Danny is back on her radar and diving headfirst into self-destruction. His pain over what happened to Anne during their last fire is eating him alive. The drinking, the fighting, the sex, all a coping mechanism to escape the night terrors and the pain he caused for the woman he loved. Spending more time with brings more pain but Danny will take what he can get. But this new Anne is making more discoveries then in her investigations; Danny’s secrets come to light as Anne has to come to terms with her own past and her city’s possible corruption.

This book is FILLED with twists and turns and new angles you won’t predict. Hooked from page one I had to know what Anne and Danny’s inner thoughts were. Ward does an incredibly job taking brutal, damaged characters and pulling those flaws right into the light, shoving them in to the face of readers and shouting “ACCEPT THEM”. Anne’s struggle with being the only female in her field versus her feelings towards not only Danny but her only family’s expectations created a very complex creature. Matched against Danny’s straight up “I loved her and I lost her” attitude makes for compelling drama. Add in the crime and suspense aspect and Consumed will do it’s own namesake to readers. It’s my latest five star read, but what else would you expect from The Warden herself. I can’t wait to see where our boys go next…

consumed-9781501194900_hr

From the #1 New York Times bestselling author of the popular Black Dagger Brotherhood series comes a brand-new novel about arson investigator, Anne Ashburn, who is consumed by her troubled past, her family’s scorched legacy, and her current case: chasing a deadly killer.

Anne Ashburn is a woman consumed…

By her bitter family legacy, by her scorched career as a firefighter, by her obsession with department bad-boy Danny McGuire, and by a new case that pits her against a fiery killer.

Strong-willed Anne was fearless and loved the thrill of fighting fires, pushing herself to be the best. But when one risky decision at a warehouse fire changes her life forever, Anne must reinvent not only her job, but her whole self.

Shattered and demoralized, Anne finds her new career as an arson investigator a pale substitute for the adrenaline-fueled life she left behind. She doesn’t believe she will ever feel that same all-consuming passion for her job again–until she encounters a string of suspicious fires setting her beloved city ablaze.

Danny McGuire is a premiere fireman, best in the county, but in the midst of a personal meltdown. Danny is taking risks like never before and seems to have a death wish until he teams up with Anne to find the fire starter. But Danny may be more than a distraction, and as Anne narrows in on her target, the arsonist begins to target her.

From the creator of the bestselling Black Dagger Brotherhood, get ready for a new band of brothers. And a firestorm.
