Kaylee is a surprisingly strong character after her escape from a seemingly psychotic man. Throughout this story she sees so many different sides to Hugh that make her trust him more and more. Hugh isn’t your typical romance hero; he’s sweet alright but he’s got this inability to be his own comedic relief. Amidst all the action you’ll find yourself laughing at his sense of humor and then being swept off your feet when he rescues Grace over and over.

A fan of the old adage “write what you know”, Katie Ruggle lived in an off-grid, solar- and wind-powered house in the Rocky Mountains until her family lured her back to Minnesota.
