Declan has made the biggest mistake he can make when trying to win over a woman’s favor: he was 3 hours late for his date with Jade. She should’ve known better than to try for the heart of the world’s biggest jackass. Now they’ve spent months dancing around each other as their best friends are together. And as enemies that are attracted to one another, the sexual tension culminates into a brief and powerful moment in the supply closet. He thinks he’s got another chance but Jade’s going to make him work a lot harder than he ever planned.
There’s nothing quite like an enemies-to-lovers romance. The tension between hero and heroine can make for some interesting moments. From heated words to passionate stolen kisses, Declan and Jade have electricity on every page. That being said, I really had a hard time following Jade. She seemed to go back and forth so quickly between admitting her feelings for Declan to hating him for being late to their date. I know it was their first date but I don’t think I can comprehend that much hatred for a man for THAT. He didn’t say anything offensive or rude to her. I thought if there was less time between Jade and Declan I could’ve understood their feelings towards one another better. A quick, fun read that made me want more of the other two characters as well!
