HOT PURSUIT – A Julie Ann Walker Review

img_3226

I’m so in love. SO SO in love with Christian. Ozzie will always be my main BKI man but Christian and his smooth talking ways have rushed right up to second place.

We’ve spent years alongside the BKI crew and nothing has been as entertaining as the back and forth teasing between the former SAS operative Christian and the sassy-mouthed office manager Emily. There’s always been a clear chemistry just waiting to burst the sheets in to flames but Walker delivers in just the right amounts to readers.

We pick up on Christian, Emily, Angel, Ace, and Rusty right where they split from Dagan’s book previously. As they are on the run for their lives, it clicks for Christian that he truly does love Emily. He spends time wooing her while letting her think that he’s only in it for the sex. While a new and mysterious villain comes after Christian, he’s got to also battle Emil’s fear of her past.

There’s no lack of action in Hot Pursuit. The classic kick butt knights are still kicking, even when on the run. And ACE…..OMG….I want Ace to have his own book! This plot line has got to be filled with gold and I’m really hoping that Walker can finish it out to the direction I believe it’s heading. I won’t spoil that one for y’all 😉 As for our next Knight…Angel’s mysteries are about to unravel…

Christian Watson, a former SAS officer and current BKI operator, never thought he would return to England after a terrible turn of events forced him to abandon his homeland. But now he’s back on British soil where old enemies are determined to do him in. Fighting for his life is pretty much SOP for Christian. Doing it with the beautiful, bossy Emily Scott in tow is another matter entirely.

In hot pursuit.
Emily lost her coveted job at the CIA because of a colleague turned rogue, and now she has just one rule when it comes to men: they’re for recreational purposes only. But when she and Christian are thrust into very close quarters while evading two mysterious men who want Christian dead, she can’t help but question all her ideas about love and life lived on the edge. Battling the bad guys is hard enough, battling her feelings for Christian just might prove impossible.

CONNECT WITH JULIE…

Julie.png Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Julie grew up in a house full of women – she has three older sisters. As you can imagine, there was no lack of drama… or romance. Her mother enrolled her in a book club as soon as she began to read and it was the small spark that ignited her voracious appetite for the written word. Because of Julie’s early immersion in literature, she found writing came quite naturally. In high school, she won multiple writing contests and was the proud senior editor of The Tiger’s Tale – her school newspaper. During her college years, however, she longed for a challenge. “Reading and writing felt like second nature to me, so I looked for a way to flex my mental muscles,” she recalls. After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree, Julie began teaching advanced high school mathematics. “I loved working with the students and facing the challenges of the classroom, but I longed for the occasional snow day when I could race to the local book store, buy two or three new novels, and curl up in front of the fire to read.” It wasn’t until a fortuitous move to Chicago that Julie once more returned to her first passion. “Thankfully, my husband – my own personal hero – encouraged my decision to write full time.” Now Julie lives on beautiful Lake Shore Drive with a view that sometimes competes with her deadlines. When she’s not writing, she enjoys camping, hiking, cycling, cooking, travel, and…reading, of course!

FUEL FOR FIRE – A Julie Ann Walker Review

img_2219

Julie Ann Walker is the BEST action romance writer! Dagan and Chelsea’s story is filled with heart-dropping action that left me begging to turn the page. When Chelsea is finally able to go out in to the field to show her strength, it leaves Dagan in a comparable position. He cares for her but can she care for the man he truly is? Chelsea’s out to prove to Dagan that she’s tough enough to get the job done. But when she puts herself in the line of fire, Dagan is the only one that can save her…but can he forgive her?

The BKI boys are always a ball of fun and I’m definitely loving Walker’s quick jump over the pond to see our new recruits. Dagan is a man who knows what he wants and how to get it, and this time it’s Chelsea. He’s finally giving in to the feelings he’s had for years and can’t believe his ears that she’s felt the same. The chemistry between these two is just unbelievably sexy!

Chelsea is this courageous whirlwind of girl power that is the perfect combination of brains and balls. Dagan and her have spent years trading sarcastic barbs but when it comes down to it, he trusts her to make the right decisions in their case. Add in the crazy mastermind criminal that was in their sights is now on their tails and this is one crazy ride. I can’t wait for more of the new BKI crew…Christian and Emily?! And uhh…Ace…buddy there better be a story for you soon!

Dagan Zoelner has made three huge mistakes
The first two left blood on his hands.
The third left him wondering…what if? What if he had told the woman of his dreams how he felt before his world fell apart?

Spitfire CIA agent Chelsea Duvall has always had a thing for bossy, brooding Dagan. It’s just as well that he’s never given her a second look, since she carries a combustible secret about his past that threatens to torch their lives…
