But when it comes to Lana, he seems to switch moods faster than coffee filters at one of her locations. One minute he’s joking, the next he’s kissing her and the next day he acts as if she isn’t worth her time. She can’t explain the pull she has to him, but she’s determined to figure him out. Peeling back layer after layer, Lana discovers more about Joe than she ever could have imagined. The endearing barista has darker secrets behind that dazzling smile. And one of them may just destroy everything she’s built.
This story is filled with twists and turns and emotions at every level. Joe is devilishly charming and sweet while he still shows an incredible about of vulnerability. I loved following his journey despite its rocky start. You know Joe is going in with the wrong intentions at the beginning but even readers will be swept away buy his charm. Lana shows what can happen when a business woman, stuck in a rut, can find the one thing to break her out of it and find her passion again. Whether that’s passion for a man or passion for her career, Joe is the answer to both. Secrets come out as Joe and Lana have to decide what’s worth more; their careers or a HEA.
