KR did a fabulous job and creating the push and pull between Poppy and Zach as they try to navigate their own feelings for one another while still being student and advisor. There’s a slow burn throughout the whole novel that Ryan allows to get hotter and hotter as their story progresses. Longer than her other novels, XO, Zach allowed for more time for the characters to think through their actions and feelings and come to an understanding on both what they want and what is right. I absolutely adored Zach being a romantic in a completely new light. He wants love and happy ever after and chasing Poppy is a completely new challenge for him. I wonderful, sweet (Zach does have a dirty side of course), and sexy romance you need to add to your TBR list!
